Our week in pictures (March 29-April 4)

Monday:
For FHE tonight, we talked about our 72 hour kits. We went through them, talked about when we would need them, and showed the kids where they were kept. After that totally not exciting lesson, Benjamin wanted to play games. Adam told him the only game we could play would be standing on our heads. So Benjamin promptly stood on his head.
Tuesday:
Madeleine got quite a bit of make up for her birthday. She keeps it in a little makeup case, and I'll find it in the bathroom frequently. But she discovered she had a mirror in her jewelry box, and I caught her applying a thick layer of glitter without her noticing me.
Wednesday:
We dyed Easter eggs on Wednesday night, while Adam was at mutual. There were no spills, and the eggs were boiled. This is, apparently, a major accomplishment this year. I love this picture because Isaac is watching so intently what Benjamin is doing.

Thursday:
Finally, after mowing our lawn with a push mower for 8 years, Adam can now mow in style and luxury. I don't know who was more excited, Adam or Isaac!

Friday:
Andrew will not take a binky. He'll chew on it for a second, then spit it right out. And he doesn't suck his fingers or thumb either. He gnaws on them. He'll stick all four fingers in, and just gum them like crazy. Sometimes, he sticks them in so far he gags himself.

Saturday:
We spent all afternoon and into the evening with family at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Madeleine had several bad moments, where no one would play with her. She is afterall, the only girl over two years old, surrounded by ten boys over 2. So in a rare moment of happiness, she snuggled up with Andrew.

Sunday:
After the Easter egg hunt, and all the prizes were given out, Isaac convinced Adam to blow up his bopping balloon. It was a look of pure joy! As soon as it was blown up, we sent him on his way so we could listen to Conference. A couple of minutes later he reappeared, bopping away. Adam told him to go back to the basement to play with it. Isaac looked at him and said, "But Rob said go up!" Isaac was the only one who liked the constsnt bopping, so there was no where for him to play with it!
