Seven month update

Wow! What a month! The fact is, from May 30-June 30 you spent a total of seven nights in your own bed. You traveled from Washington D.C. to Washington State, took four plane rides and one cruise! What a traveler you were. And honestly, you were not one bit of trouble through all our travels. But besides all that, you have been learning and growing like crazy! You have three teeth now, you can sit up (but don't do it very often because you HATE to bend in the middle!) and you can crawl! Since you hate to bend, or sit, you stand a lot. When I am sitting, you are standing on my lap. When I am standing, and trying to hold you like a normal little baby, you start climbing up so that your feet are on my hips and you are standing up, instead of sitting. That one is really annoying because it's harder to hold you like that!
You spent much of our cruise being toted around while you were trying to sleep. Everywhere we went people had to stop and talk to the cutest baby on the whole boat!
You even got all dressed up in your formal wear for some of our dinners!
We didn't give you a real bath at all on the cruise. Don't worry, you were properly wiped down all the time with wet wipes, but since there wasn't a bath in our stateroom, we didn't attempt to give you a shower. The main reason for this is that you hate baths. They terrify you. When we go into the bathroom and turn on the water you start to scream. Putting you into the water produces a new level of screaming.
Your taste in foods is improving, and I think you'll eat anything I give you. We're introducing more and more "big people" food--on the way home last Monday Madeleine fed you tiny bits of chicken nuggets without me knowing!

Despite all that traveling, you are doing great with sleeping. A couple of times in Maryland we spent hours awake in the night with you screaming, but not once on the cruise, which I was very worried about. Since we've been home (two whole nights!) you've been waking up only once a night--around 3!

You still really prefer to be held, but now that you can get around you will spend longer on the floor moving from toy to toy. You are such a cutie pie, and we love you so much!
