Disneyland (March 7-9)

And why were we in California splashing around at the beach? Well, we wanted to meet Mickey Mouse, of course! Andrew was fascinated and just couldn't figure it out.

Our first ride was the carousel.

We were there with some friends, so Madeleine had a built in buddy. They were stuck together like glue, always wanting to ride together.

Andrew was mesmerized by the dancing and singing in "It's a small world" and only tried to jump out of the boat once we left the building.

It was Isaac's birthday, so we brought a present from his best friend Karla that he got to open before bed.

We hurried over to our favorite ride in California Adventure first thing one morning. We love Toy Story Mania!

What some of us did NOT love was the ferris wheel. We chose to ride in the gondola that swings back an forth along a track as the giant wheel moves around. I thought it was pretty fun, but this is the third picture taken of Benjamin and the only one where he smiled. He hated it. I guess the view he and Adam had was pretty terrifying as we swung back and forth over the water.

But we recovered our senses and went to ride the bumper cars. A great time was had by all!

Here's how Madeleine and Averie spent most of the trip.

This picture is so awesome! The picture right before was with both boys, and Goofy looking at the camera. Then Goofy started chatting with Dawson, and Isaac took the opportunity to do a little posing of his own!

This little gem of an attraction was right up there on Madeleine's favorite list. We waited in a slow, long line to have three minutes of chatting with Tinkerbell and one of her fairy friends. Isaac was standing right next to me, and refused to get in the picture. He knew that fairies were for girls.

Back to Toy Story Mania, and Andrew thought the huge talking Mr. Potato Head was awesome!
