Our week in pictures (May 9-15)

Monday:
One of Isaac's favorite things to eat is string cheese. I'll sometimes find three or four cheese wrappers on the couch after he's had a snack without me knowing! Today, for lunch we had apple slices and cheese sliced into little discs. He stacked the cheese onto the apples and ate them together, which isn't so odd, except for he said it tasted like banana cream!
Tuesday:
Andrew has been watching Isaac tool around on the 4-wheeler and it's very interesting to him. He'd really like to figure out how to do it. He actually has pushed the pedal with his foot, but it doesn't go very far when the battery is dead!
Wednesday:
We're in this stage where we have to bathe after each meal. He insists on feeding himself, and then using the leftovers as hair gel. Nothing like yogurt to keep your hair in place!
Friday:
We were headed out the door to Madeleine's final recital of the year. On Thursday she had her ballet recital, and then on Friday she had her tap, jazz and hip hop recital. We left the boys at home. Benjamin was actually at the school for a reward party for his reading class. When Adam picked him up he said it was "awesome!" They'd had pizza, soda and been able to play hide and seek through out the school, "until the janitor kicked them out!"
Saturday:
This day was so awesome, we need lots of pictures to document it. The kids got out the chalk and decorated the sidewalk. This is so cute, and I love it!
We decided to do a dutch oven cook out, so while that was going on, Isaac found a nail. He immediately ran to get his toy hammer and started hammering that nail into the step.
We invited Grandpa over for our cookout, and these boys climbed right up to talk to him! We had a great time, the food was absolutely delicious, and we were so glad we did it.
Sunday:
We had a wind storm move through today. This inevitably causes as many branches to fall as possible. Poor Adam spent hours on Saturday morning mowing, edging, trimming and making the yard look good. Then the tree up and dumps all these branches all over the lawn. Adam hates this tree and is always vowing he'll cut it down.

That wind was so crazy. The same thing happened to us. Kenzi and I cleaned up the backyard and then Sunday afternoon it was a mess. WE can sympathize with Adam.

Yes...we know this stage very well. :) Madeleine looks like a doll. as always. and andrew looks so grown up sitting on that bike.
I guess that's the one and only advantage of having twigs for trees no mess...I can't see out my windows though because they are so filthy for that storm.
