Monday:
For FHE dessert we had brownie sundaes. The kids thought it was wonderful, and Benjamin told us all about the first time he had a brownie sundae, which was on his birthday two years ago coming home from Disneyland, and how he shared a bite with Jordan.
Tuesday:
When I'm not holding Andrew, he's pulling things off bookshelves, out of drawers and scattering food all over the floor. So he's a typical baby!
Thursday:
Adam had a great birthday! The kids are always so excited for singing and blowing out candles, and cake and ice cream.
Saturday:
This morning we decided we needed a specific item from Home Depot. It's a store that we absolutely hate taking the kids to, because it seems to trigger some sort of switch in their brains and they all go crazy. Running up and down the aisles, climbing the ladders, pulling things off the shelves. It's not a pretty experience. I decided that since Madeleine needed her ears pierced for dance that we should go ahead and take care of it while Adam was in Home Depot. The kids did not want to go to Twin at all. Actually, Benjamin was fine with it because he figured he could play his DS in the car and he'll go where ever if it means he can get in some extra DS time. Madeleine was starting to throw a fit about having to go when Adam casually mentioned that we were thinking about having her ears pierced while we were up there. She promptly put on her shoes and got in the car with a huge grin on her face!
Once we got there, I was a bit worried that she'd freak out because she deals with needles so well to begin with. But she hoped in the chair, sat still and let the girl punch holes in her ears with not a sound.
Sunday:
On Friday Isaac was playing this fun game of doing backflips off the couch. He'd stand up on the back, fall backwards to the seat then roll off to the floor. He only did it a couple of times before we caught him and stopped the circus. What he didn't notice was that he had skinned his nose. We kept asking him what happened to his nose and he had no idea. Then the next day he was standing on a cooler outside and it tipped over, giving him more scrapes across his nose. So today he looks like a prize fighter. When people would ask what happened he'd casually reply, "I was doing backflips off the couch," like it was no big deal.
