We had a lovely Christmas this year. Adam's whole family came up to his parent's house for Christmas this year, which meant we were able to spend all the fun times with everyone, yet come home and sleep in our own beds! We had a nice, low key Christmas Eve with just our little family listening to carols and reading stories and scriptures with each other. The kids were so excited, but they actually fell asleep pretty easily.
When we woke up the next morning Adam and I found that Madeleine had gone through all the presents and sorted them into piles for each person! I quickly took control and we opened presents at a nice leisurely rate, instead of the free for all they had hoped for.
All the kids got a stuff Angry Bird, and they've spent some time trying to get Andrew's little green pig!
Isaac always has to get new nerf darts because Andrew bites the suction part off of each and every dart he finds on the ground.
The kids gave Adam his very own fooseball game, and they've had a lot of fun playing each other and him for the past couple of days.
Madeleine's one wish was for a Nintendo DS, and Santa pulled through with a nice pink one! It's hardly been out of her hands since she opened it!
Benjamin got an assortment of DS games, and Legos and other fun things. He was pretty happy!
And as for me, after 10 and a half years in this house, I finally got some new kitchen counter tops!!! They are beautiful and I can't wait for the tile backsplash to go up next week!

Your new counter tops look great! You'll have to post pictures when the tile backsplash is up.
Yay for you!
